Sometimes one swallow is enough to make a springtime... [Personal Story]

A pair of swallows have elected the roof of my balcony to make their nest... I don't know whether they are European or African swallows - or with which velocity they actually fly - but they haven't brought me any coconut yet...

I don't know how you feel about life, but there's something about which I am most grateful: the ability to draw happinnes from some of the most evanescent moments in life. A striking sunset, a beautiful song, a fragile flower, a sincere smile, or a pair of nesting swallows... Life is not always easy and we all have our frustrating times - and I think Arthur Dent would agree with me on this. But even when I'am feeling depressed, I have found out that there can be some relief to be drawn from the elusive moments of beauty hidden in our day-to-day life. I have not always been able to do so: I guess it's a lesson to be learned over the years.

This morning I took this picture of these two swallows who have elected to nest on my balcony - and I thought:

Waouh! How much beauty can there be in life?

Cheers,
