You may have seen an OpenDMK project lingering on java.net for a few weeks: Well, I am pleased to announce that we have pushed a first snapshot of the sources just before JavaOne. The code base of project OpenDMK comes from the Java DMK 5.1. It includes a ready to use implementation of cascading, as well as a discovery API, and a feature to add MBeanServerInterceptors to JMX MBeanServers. And oh, yes, it's available on either GPL or CDDL license. So if you're interested, have a look at Project OpenDMK.

When will the snmp runtime be supplied with the open source solution?

We're working on this. I am currently waiting for our legal folks to review the licenses etc...
If I get a positive feedback I'll only have one button to press.
