This week, Vancouver...
I'm spending some time this week working in Vancouver. This is only my second time in Canada, in a previous life I spent a couple of weeks working in Ottawa. I've been really impressed by the city. I think this may well be the first city I've stayed at where you can see the mountains and the ocean in the same view. Lunch yesterday was a treat at the top of a rotating restaurant on the 28th floor of the harbor tower. Looking forward to seeing much more heading to the sun offices today.
Also learning more about the Sun SEED mentoring program. I'm going to be working with a team member from our prague engineering center (hopefully a great excuse to spend some time in prague leaning more about the engineering going on there, and buying Dan Berg the beers I owe him for covering my part of CEC :-)
