interesting interview with Jim Bannister on NPR marketplace Friday wrt file/media/ip sharing .. here's a quote i like.
"giant institutions take time to change .. but to this day, the approach to file sharing and "piracy" [or cross-posting APIs] is a slash and burn approach - take them to court first .. as opposed to trying to understand the differences in how people are using media today .. there's no way they can stop it by suing their constituency, they should be embracing - they have all the resources in the world to study and understand and test - they just haven't. the first reaction is to pull up the drawbridge and stop whatever is doing it until they can figure it out .."
