dtrace.conf(08)

I had the fortune of attending the first dtrace.conf last Friday in San Francisco and I have to say that it was a fantastic event. There are many aspects that I enjoyed but what really made it for me was the chance to have great technical and social exchanges with such a diverse bunch of engineers. It didn't matter who we all worked for; DTrace was the great leveller. I really had some of the most thought provoking technical conversations I've had in a long time. By the end of the day my head was spinning with the amount and quality of ideas that I'd heard (well, it was either the ideas or Richard McDougall's driving...).
