Map of Open Source implemetation World Wide
Georgia Technology Institute has made a research for RedHat with figures about the implementation of open source in 75 countries. They use two (OSI) interactive maps . For each country they assign points based in their law, policy, practice and others base on areas like Goverment, Industry, and Community. You can check it out (1 is the best, 75 is the worst) in the Open Source arena.
In Goverment they looked for adquisition, help to Open Source, etc. In Industry they look for number of users. In Community they look for number of request to Google Summer of Code, support of languages for GNU / Linux, and the number of internet user.
This map is not really true due some places has no Open Source but has high number of internet users plus technology patents could show better figures for Open Source. But it isn't really true.
