Test Farm and SSH on an iPhone
It turns out you can access advanced Sun servers and reserve a test zone using Safari and use SSH terminal apps like TouchTerm (free) all from an iPhone. Granted, this isn't the most ergonomic environment, but if you just need to kick off a new build or test run or fix that one character typo that caused your build to fail, it's fine. And it's amazing that a little handheld device can control big servers around the world.
(Now, unto remote terminal access using VNC

Yeah, the iPhone is pretty capable here.
I've used Mocha VNC Lite a couple of times to mess with my desktop that's shared using vino. Mocha struggled with the size of the desktop (configured for dual monitors with TwinView), complaining about memory. If I was going to rely on being able to use it, I'd probably set up a more purpose-built VNC session that wouldn't tax the iPhone's resources so much.

Sun always had the most talented engineers in the world and they always had the right vision (i.e. "the network is the computer"). So how come it's companies like CISCO and Juniper and Apple who are making billions of dollars from this whole "the network is the computer" idea (selling things like switches, routers and iphones that everyone needs to use via the network) while Sun's server business is hurting because the average person is ignorant and would rather by poorly designed Dell and SuperMicro servers instead of Sun servers that can do so much more?
The irony of this is just unbelievable.
If I had a time machine I would go back in time and tell Bill Joy, Vinod and Andreas Bechtolsheim to get into the switch / router business at the same time CISCO did and to make Solaris cell phones because CISCO and Apple seem to be making a lot more money from "the network" than Sun is right now... unfortunately :-(
