Changing your shell in SXDE

On the SXDE , here's how you can change a user's shell easily. To access this menu, root password is required.

Click on Launch(Toolbar Menu)->Administration->Users and Groups.

Select the user for whom you want to change the shell. Click on Properties->Advanced tab.

There is a drop-down menu for Shell. Select the shell that you want. Click OK.

You can also make changes to username, password(choose your own password or have the system generate a random password), home directory,  user privileges etc for each user in the Properties menu. The "Basic Solaris User" is the default privilege and has rights that are automatically assigned.

Rad about the differences between shells and the pitfalls of changing them in this FAQ.
