Displaying battery status and other goodies on SXDE
If you are running SXDE 5/07 (nevada b65) or later versions, you can display Battery Status meter, Show Desktop icon, Network Connection and other useful apps on your screen. To do so, right click on an empty space on the bottom panel and select the "Add to panel" menu item. You will see the following screen(s):
Choose the applications you would like to see on your panel and click on "Add". And that's it! All the useful applications are right there on your panel.
