Wireless connectivity from SXDE - a breeze
I just tried connecting my Toshiba M5 (running SXDE 5/07) to my wireless router at home. And it was a breeze! I have Access Control enabled in my wireless router settings , so I entered the MAC address of my laptop's network wireless card in the Wireless Card Access list. To get the MAC address on Solaris, type ifconfig -a at the command prompt, which prints out the addressing information for each interface. The code next to "ether" is the MAC address, usually in the form of x: xx: xx: xx.
I brought up inetmenu(see my earlier blog on inetmenu) and it showed me a list of available networks. I selected the appropriate one, and that's it.

Would certainly like to to hear about your experiences of connecting to wireless networks from your SXDE laptops.
