The Sun Java System Portal Server's Portlet Container has been open sourced! This is a major step towards open sourcing
the entire Enterprise class Portal Server. The power available to the community can only be imagined when the entire suite
is available. Kudos to Deepak and the team for the effort. You can check out Deepak's blog entry for the same here.

Watch out for the next releases of the same with the test driver not too far off. With inter portlet communication available the container offers a wider range of features than just testing JSR 168 compliant portlets.
