Customizing Reply Headers on Thunderbird
If you don't like the default of reply header, you can customize it on
Preferences dialog. In my case, I don't like just "<Author> wrote:" and want to
put Date like
Click Config Editor... button on Preferences dialog, Advanced tab.

Enter reply_header to filter the settings.

You can get the descriptions of these preferences from the following sites,
Double click on the preference will invoke the dialog. You can change the value on it.

When mailnews.reply_header_type=2, it displays Date but it will be localized. I understand it depends on your platform and locale. If you don't want, you can set the locale to en-US in mailnews.reply_header_locale.
