| Firefly - Where Were You People Before? | Entertainment |
If everyone who claims to be a
fan of the show Firefly,
and claims to be salivating over the upcoming Serenity movie, had just watched the show in the first place, it never would have been canceled. It seems like a bunch of new fans discovered the show on DVD and are now extolling its awesomeness. Nice, but late, folks. Those of us who watched the show during its original run wish you were around back when the show was pulled off the air just as it was moving from "interesting" to "inspiring."

| I go on vacation and the world changes | Computers |
I went on vacation the last week and come back to a different world. As a typical vacationer, I didn't pay much attention to the news or current events until I got back.
- OpenSolaris Launches - I'm not one of Sun's evangelical bloggers (like Mary) but if you don't know how much the world changed with this, you should read more about it. It's rather unprecedented.
- Michael Jackson is a free man - He's a man now? Amazing.
- A new blogs.sun.com theme launches! - Meh, ok, I'm not impressed either.
- California gets four large earthquakes in two days, and even a tsunami warning - Yet I didn't feel a thing.
- Stupid "Runaway Bride" is still in the news - Run away!! Run away!! And this time stay there.
- Vanilla Ice makes a comeback - Aaaaahhhh! Are you people crazy? Don't you remember what it took to get rid of him the first time? Speaking of which...
- 40,000 crappy new reality TV shows debut - Just seeing the commercials for all of these dumb shows makes me ill. Isn't this fad over yet? "I Wanna be a Hilton" has got to the bottom of the barrel. Please.
