| Apple Owes Me $20 | Computers |
I recently exchanged a 2GB iPod Nano for a 4GB version. The box was sealed and unopened, but the shrink wrap was torn. The guy at the Apple Store ("Sundown" - yeah, that's right) claimed that Apple's "open box" return policy applied and I would have to pay a 10% restocking fee. Now, I support the idea of an "open box" policy but only when the box is opened!
Listen up Steve Jobs (and Sundown), I will get my $20 from Apple one way or another. It will be legal, but it will cost you more than that $20. Perhaps my next laptop won't be a PowerBook, perhaps all of my music downloads won't be from iTunes, or perhaps I will just crash an Apple party and eat $20 of pizza.
Or maybe I'll just tell Scott that he should buy Apple the next time he asks me.
Sundown's arrogant attitude and fascist policy enforcement have left a bad taste in my mouth.
