Javascript: The Ultimate Programming Language? Computers

Warning: Spoiler for the movie Stargate: The Ark of Truth ahead.

I watched the movie Stargate: The Ark of Truth and there is a scene where the Replicators (evil, self-replicating robots) are being reprogrammed to self-destruct.  A screen shot shows that the language used is Javascript.

Replicator program in Javascript

Stay tuned for the sequel, when another ancient programming language is used, Stargate: The Awk of Truth.

Hi, Kevin
i take liberty of asking a question about java here.
java update message keeps popping out at my laptop. it says c;\program\jrel.6.0\bin\jucheck.exe. some one told me it is a kind of virus or spyware. Could you please let me know what it is and what should i do with it. Thank you in advance.

jucheck.exe is just the Java Update Checker checking for more recent versions. I'm not too sure about that path. Did you type it in or and paste it? It should be \Program Files\Java\jrel6-something

If you think it's spyware, or a virus, pretending to be the java updater then get a good spyware/virus remover. Then, update Java manually but downloading the most recent version from http://java.sun.com. That won't stop Java from checking for updates, however. Verify the path is really the path to the Java installation and then allow jucheck.exe to make external connections.

It looks a lot more like C or C++ to me. Although, Java is quite similar.

Oh, and their code indentation is appalling!
