| The Segway: How Has Your Life Changed? | Humor |
OK, I'm a little late on this (two weeks) but since I had an anti-Segway post, I felt compelled to follow up here.

| Say "No Way" To The Segway | Humor |
It's already been proven that Segways are only used by nerds and losers. Now Segway users want to prove that they are clueless as well.
Here is Silicon Valley, home of the nerd, people want to use their Segways on hiking and biking trails. I think these people need to RTFM the meaning of hiking and biking. I mean really, what would be the point?
The city of Los Gatos has already banned Segways on part of the trail system. Good for them! To me it's fairly obvious that motorized vehicles, of any kind, do not belong on these trails. Feet, bikes, skateboards and inline skates are all fine since they are self-powered.
The exception, of course, is motorized wheel chairs, and that's fine. They should be allowed, but as a specific exception. The Segway folks are trying to sneak in using that same exception.
Nice try.
First of all, way to go, exploiting the handicapped for your own lazy needs! At the risk of speaking for a group of people to whom I don't belong, I would bet that if someone confined to a wheelchair could walk on those trails, they would. I doubt that they would stand on a device that screams, "I can stand, but I'm too lazy to walk!"
It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Segway people want to park in handicapped parking spots to unload their Segways from their cars. Wouldn't want to break a sweat.
