An Essential Gadget and Great Customer Service
Having returned to Sun my Mobile usage has increased dramatically and thus has had a negative impact on battery life. Being a Smart phone user for the past 5 years (It started with a Sony P900 and has now moved through many OS's and form factors) I have always had to trade off features with battery life.
However a while back I was given my perfect gadget. I have always despised the fact that I have to carry around chargers for my mobile phone, iPod, PSP and camera. I had managed to use my laptop as a default charging device so all my power leads were USB however this is not always convenient when you are on a train and need to power your phone to make that last conference call of the day.
My gadget to solve this problem is the PowerMonkey by using this little device I am able to charge my smartphone as well as my gadgets while on the move. To add to this the charger has international adapters to allow me to only carry one charger and plug while on international travel.
This was working perfectly until recently when trying to charge my Nokia E61i, I found that the power tip for the Nokia was not fitting snugly. The result was intermittent charging and as such my phone powering down. Obviously this was disappointing for myself however one quick message on a social networking site placed me in touch with the support people at Power Traveller. There response was lightning quick and after understanding that I had already discovered the root cause of the problem they dispatched a new tip for me at no cost. At the same time they also provided a new tip to charge my nice new shinny iPhone that is replacing the Nokia for now.
This pleasant experience of being able to contact a business via a Social Networking Site I already use, combined with speed of the response has resulted in me purchasing a couple more devices and wrapping them up for christmas presents safe in the knowledge that if the gadget fails I will not be the default support person.
