The time is almost here for this years event and I am doing the final tweaks on the Virtual Directory demo that we will be showing at Burton Catalyst this year. As you may have read in some other posts such as Don Bowen's blog the theme of our event is based on Monty Python's Holy Grail. This should be an interesting night with medieval characters running around and you can even get a souvenir photo taken in front of the Holy Grail castle. It brings visions of Capital One's commercial about "what do you have in your wallet" to mind. Speaking of Capital One they will also be doing a session called "Tackling the Identity Audit Challenge with Capital One" on Thursday at 9:55AM in Grand Ballroom B.
Also we have a very special guest appearance this year by our very own CEO and star blogger - Jonathan Schwartz from 6:45 - 7:45pm on Thursday evening in our hospitality suite (California room).
As always we will be showing our Identity Management suite of products and this year as the title says we will have a live demo running of our Virtual Directory software that we introduced with Directory Server Enterprise Edition 6.0 which was released back at the end of March. I am really looking forward to this part of the event as we have had a lot of customers asking us about this technology and now we can show it to them in real time .. of course I will have my fingers crossed that there are no issues with the demo ;-) We will also have demo's around some of our open source projects OpenDS, showing off the APP/Atom work, and OpenSSO, showing off the new Sun OpenID implementation.
So come by, try wining a bottle of wine at the ring toss, enjoy some ale, wine and food fit for a king and then come by the demo pods and check out our products.
Also watch for future articles around our Virtual Directory product and Directory Server Enterprise Edition in general. I plan on putting most of the information I used to create the demo in this blog in the next coming weeks as well.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
