Lot of us may still have a question: What is it ? Second Life is a 3-D virtual world created by its Residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by millions of Residents from around the globe

Maybe now it makes more sance. Second Life could be your second world, your world of imagination, because as it is written, second life is created by its residents. For me it sounds little bit scary. If you would be obsessed by this may be you could lose your virtual identity. It could be really big shock for your. Because second life is not only the game. You could be educated here, you can have a fun here and you could have everything you ever want. It is base on your imagination.

I have joined this ilusion and I have created my virtual body. It is really excited walking through virtual parks and libraries. When you are logged in you could search for the way of yours interest (inside the application : Edit->Search(Ctrl+F)) . I wanted to join any of Sun Groups so I joined Sun Campuss Ambassador Group . Funny it's for free. Also I have visited Second Life Sun Office. 

I'm looking forward for next experiences! Just try yours own.

  I know this article is not refering to the business around IT. Everydays morning I'm trying to take my brain up to date. My opinion is that if you want to uderstand to behavior of something I should study behavior around! So every morkning before my work I'm reading economical analysis of markets, makro analysis of the World Economic.

Everybody knows that here was and still is economical and financial crisis. You have seen lot of annoucements of varios National Banks but mostly are not optimistic. There are lot of facts why, but I don't want to write about them. Also one of my quesiton I'm asking myself: How could this crisis involve IT business ? And what will be after that because everythink is connected. My general advice is "do not panic, just start thinking why and than make decission".

This week was really full of tasks and awkward situations. I had to focuse my mind on somethink what I really like One of this things is co-oparation with universities. In this article I want to mention other chance for university co-operation.

On one of Junes Wednesday I have met really great guy from Sun Laboratories in Burlingot. His name was Jan-Willem Maessen. This guy is really involved in development of this project and his pressentation was really exciting and cool. He make me involeved in interest about this project. I have it downloade and tried. I'll blog about my experiene later on. Here are some brief information. 

What is the Fortress?
Fortress is a new programming language designed for high-performance computing (HPC) with high programmability. Fortress features include:

• Implicit parallelism 
• Transactinos
• Flexibile, space-aware, mathematical syntax
• Static checking (byt with type interface)
• Definition of large parts of the language in its own libraries
  

The Fortress reference interpreter is released under a BSD License. Other software included in the distribution bears various open source licenses. All of these are included in the License File.

Hi All, 
  Maybe you ware afriad of I stopped my bloging and all my activities around information technology and universities. For all I'm proud to announce I'm back and I'll continue.

After my comeback lot of things have happen I'll bloged about later on. When I entered my office for the first day I saw my desk. It looked still same (Image 1).

I was looking forward to my laptop where is opensolaris (OpenSolaris 2008.05) installed and tunned up. It looks like Apple environment and it's cool to work with. I have to blog around it because I'm using it now for daily work. Next thing happen on my last day of vacation. I had planned meeting with Austria Account Manager. We have disucced possibilities of SUN cooperation with universities. He gave me contats on campus ambassadors he cooperate with and more. We have shared our experiences. This is very important thing for next time co-operation between us. I'm really looking forward to it.

In the short time I had aslo meetings and long discussion with proffesors from Faculties of Informatics and aslo from Medical Faculty. I got so many matierials which I have to collect together in my free time.

There are some pictures ralated to the next topics (coming soon) or like inspipration for the future. I'll talked more about technology and possibilites. I wish beautiful day to all !

Second interesting event what has happened to me is project KiWi. I got opportunity to meet people who are working with Semantic web technology and discussed with them. I have to metion my good friend Jakub was part of this team at the past. Now he is a  member of project KiWi.

During the time we worked together we thought a lot about advantages and usage of Semantic web. We also did presentation to people from our globalization team and we did demo based on Maven Project. Maybe I'll bloged about it more in the future.

But now here is project KiWi and its blog. The project KiWi is concerned with knowledge management in Semantic Wikis and funded by the European Commission.

This week is full of surprises. So many chance events rised up. I'll blog about them later separately  because some of them are very intersting. Now I want to do only short introduction. Except I have met so many interesting people the first article will be focused on opensolaris conference, of course . Second one will be focused on Sun Labs projects - Fortress programming language. Third will by focused on semanticweb technology - project KIWI. The fourth will be about connection universities with SUN Microsystems - Encouragement & Support. Be ready for that!
