3. Tamas Rathonyi ::: On the web - JSF
4. Gergo Sulymosi ::: RIA development with JavaFX, the $25.000 development competition

Good JOB guys ! :)

I think it's good to mention now before. During my work I'm in touch with lot of professors from various universities over Europe. I'm glad that quite all of them are excited by GeeCON. Only little doubt they are having about planed time (Economical crisis). I think it could be true but Economical crisis doesn't mean that Communities are going to stop. Now it's seems GeeCON is going to be very successful. Good sign for all. I know that lot of work is behind and our GeeCON team is working pretty much last days to cover every bugs but in general we are doing very well. Our team is great. Now we have GeeCON Bus, GeeCON university, Facebook or LinkedIn groups. We are replying lot of emails :) and we have attendants ...

What to say in the end ?
JUST SEE YOU THERE in Cracow !

PS: this is not only professor's opinion :) this is only name of my post.

I want to promote GeeCON Bus organized by JSUG Group again.  Progress looks very nice :). By doing promo to this possibility we want to involve more people . I have still awareness about those who are interesting in this possibility. It would be cool to connect them before because GeeCON event is community driven. As I spoke to my friends from Hungary It's much easier for them to go from Vienna.  For more details just have a look at JSUG main site and try to cooperate with them.

GeeCON is looking forward to see you there :)

Cheers,
Miroslav

I guess this time is good to announce something new. I did announce a lot around Sun Grid Engine. We are driving this together with Lubos Petrik from Czech SUN. Now I want to post some update around work focused on NetBeans IDE. Together with Peter Blaha we started another Diploma thesis in cooperation with Czech Technical University in Prague. The topic of this work is following: When Do Changes Induce Fixes Do the similar analysis that is described in the paper for NetBeans repository.

Instead of fact lot changes are happening universities are away from this game.

Time is running and GeeCON is knocking at the doors. GeeCON University is going to start at May 6. This week we have increased family of out media partners. New member became to be the main JAVA portal in Czech Republic. It's Java.cz ! You can say hello to Java. cz and have a look there

Java portál* is an open internet portal that serves the Czech community of users of Java and related technologies . Anyone can register there and share his opinion with other people interested in Java by posting articles, news or links to interesting resources. This portal also closely cooperates with the Czech Java User Group and contains podcasts
from CZJUG-organized seminars.

I guess everybody involved in SUN activities has awareness about OSUM. OSUM was in the past very closed socical network. You need to be registred in to see what is inside. After long time we have change to the better way. OSUM is going to be more open to the public. It means more information and more reasons to be registred in. I guess one of the main principes of any open community is to be open. OSUM is now going to reach this goal.  Have a look at public profile of the groups. Anyway changes are comming ...

This blog post is for those who don't know yet about this nice chance to win Toshiba Laptop. Couple weeks ago SUN announced Toshiba Laptops support. It was great news for everyone using Toshiba laptops like me :). I hope this support is going to be increased to other models very soon. Currently are supported models Tecra M10 and Portege R600. True is that having installed opensolaris better than have installed Windows Vista as default but it could be long discussion around. Anyway few time ago SUN announced cool chance to win one of this supported Toshiba models. There is now limitiation. You can be developer, students, profesorr or even director of galaxy everybody has a chance to win one of models. To get more information about Just have a look at  official web site. The main idea of this challenge is to create best package into the opensolaris. I think there is no limitation too because opensolaris missing a lot of pieces of software ;) just find one and do a package for. How simple.

Rebus: If you know Toshiba models which one is R600 ?

I think there could be very nice cooperation with univeristies and as price can be one of Toshiba laptop. We will see what future brings to us. Stay tuned.

I have very great news  for all from Vienna in Austria.  Guys from Die Java Student User Group planned to come. We have it confirmed and nowadays they are working on it's organization. When they started to thing about they had in their minds something like GeeCON Bus. They share this idea with us. This idea is amazing because there is no other conference with having similar thing. This fact only showing that GeeCON is really community driven conference.  We hope that there are going to be lot of attendants from Austria to cover whole bus. But there is also possibility to travel by GeeCON train :) but GeeCON bus is much nicer. We all are crossing fingers for success. Not it seems we found sponsors for this bus, but we will see. I sent an email also to Brno univeristy but I still don't have any response because Vienna is not so far from Brno.
