The earthquake happened last week, May 12, is a disaster. It is estimated that will have more than 60,000 people lost their life during the earthquake. It is very hard to stop crying whenever I saw the TV and news, I also found the many good sides of human behaviors. There are several questions I still have no answers: 1. Why the building are so fragile. Yes? I knew that in the countryside there are many houses just use the cement and no steel bar. But it is so difficulty to see thousands of students died because of the school building crashed. Why the government building is still standing there? Why the Hope School Sun donated is OK? 2. The military people did excellent good job on rescue. I also read many articles that the local official took the rescue goods and not offering to the needed people. What are these people is really thinking? I urge that all the donation money from Sun should have special people to do the monitoring job and not just give to local official. 3. Many of us trust Red Cross but I don’t. I even not trust the Red Cross in USA, US heart association. Please think how many percent of the donation need to be their operational cost? 4. My motion is very mixed, there is disaster at PRC and Taiwan has new president. One side shows hardship and another shows hope. I am so hoping both sides under the happiness environment. I have been in PRC more than 10 years and I grow up at Taiwan. The people here is just my people and their pain is my too. Yes, many people died during the earthquake and I am so sorry about this. But the really shaking is my confidence to my country. BTW, It doesn’t stop me to do the donation; I just donate to our church which I can fully trust. We donated to the needed people and we have our own people doing the monitoring using own expense.
