I have come to realize that it is no longer possible for me to remember all the stuff I have to do. So I need help in finding a good task management program. And since Googl'ing left me with too many choices to decide from, I thought I'd ask you!
It really only has to do the absolute basics: Let me enter tasks. It would also be nice if I could separate the tasks into what project they refer to (at the moment, I have three main projects with several subtasks for each of them).

So, if you have a suggestion, leave it in the comments. All suggestions are very much appreciated!

Remember the Milk is great. I have been using it as my day to day todo list. http://www.vitalist.com also looks good. If you want to host your own that is based on Getting Things Done (GTD), Tracks is good also (http://www.rousette.org.uk/projects/).

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I'll have a look at it when I return from my summerhouse. Really appreciate it!

Hi Lars. I've tried alot of different ones, and in general some are good for something, while others are good for other stuff. There really isn't a task manager / TODO list that is so versatile that it can be used as a general list for my purposes. And that means one program, preferably online and ready for mobile devices, that can be used as:
  • shopping list
  • wishing list
  • simple todo
  • project list with and tasks and subtasks
  • and etc...
  • So one day I am going to write my own, using some sort of model driven development, and creating and API that can be used by hand-held devices as well. Perhaps JavaFX?
