No Bumps, Just a Few Turns...

Yesterday afternoon I was on the line with Jim Grisanzio and Eric Boutilier when I suddenly had to say: "Sorry, I have run--I've got a "thing" here."

I must have said that 6 times this week! Maybe it was The Puppy, 18 weeks old, and finally learning to ring the bell to go outside, rather than relying on the newspapers.  Maybe it was The Shower...the "designer" Kohler faucet busted, and water was running (about 2 cups a minute).  Maybe it was The Truck--the power steering is alittle noisy. (good thing it's under warranty, Mrs. Ramsey) Maybe it was The VW Newbie, my little yellow friend burnt out a headlight which in Mass is just ASKING for 5 points to be added to your record. (But officer, the car was PARKED!)

And yesterday afternoon, The Capper:  The Break-up. Grace, my pride, (who helped stuff the first official Solaris press kit in 1991) broke up with her boyfriend. Like most teenagers, Grace lives out loud...on My Space and on AIM, she's connected into a complex social network. And Andy misread something in her blog, and next thing you know, Andy turns into Godzilla, spitting accusations and knocking down feelings.

It was an emergency, that's for sure. The confusion, frustration, and sheer inability to "grok" what just happened, put Grace into Full Tilt.  

Yes, all life's little turns. And lucky for me, no bumps.
