I start my college since 1995 in Huazhong Univ. of Sci. and Tech. which is famous for her study atmosphere in China. she is also called the cradle of Engineer, :-). I do not like this title but I really build the preciseness and factuality which is needed by Computer Sci there.

I earned my master degree in Chinese Academy of Science in Computer Science department, research areas include Distributed Multimedia System, Advanced Networking and Data Communication, Traffic Control, etc

hmm, here is my career start, Sun is my first company since my graduation, I entered Sun Microsystem China Engineering & Research Institute just after my graduation and joined Client Systems Group StarOffice team as a Software Engineer, The major projects I have involved including:

A. 2002.8~2003.1: StarOffice Interoperability Technology project, responsible for StarOffice Distributed Object Model UNO（Universal Network Object）, maintain and update of its cross-platform base library SAL, on Linux, Windows & Solaris. SAL is encapsulated in C++ & C to provide uniform interface in different operating systems. Such as File System, Unicode String, Pipe, Mutex, Thread, Socket, Memory, etc.

B. 2003.1~2003.9: Base Library Test Based on Testshl2 QA project，cooperated with QADEV team in Germany. Test UNO base library: SAL on OSL section. The test tool is migrated tools named testshl & testshl2 which are transplanted from sourceforge open source project CPPUNIT. The tests include various communication mechanisms, file system maintenance, cross platform socket programming, mutex mechanism and thread synchronization. I completed 20 thousand lines of code individually and check into StarOffice CVS.

C.2003.9~2004.10: StarOffice Shell Integration project, add shell extension support for StarOffice documents on Windows platform such as XP and 2000, such as Windows Info-Tips Handler, Search Handler and Column handler, which made the accessibility of StarOffice documents more friendly and more easy to use, view, sort and search. They are developed under Visual Studio.NET bundled with Platform SDK, using Windows Shell programming interface, Indexing Service programming interface, COM and UNO object modal, provide new version StarOffice with better UI support, the implementation is a new feature in StarOffice8.0.

D.2004.10 ~ 2005.1: Sun JDS (Java Desktop System) StarOffice Shell integration project: we implemented StarOffice documents thumbnails for Gnome Nautilus resource manager using gconf mechanism and shell scripts. We also introduced other file thumbnails such as pdf, ps, abiWord, etc.

E.2005.3 ~ now: RMS team focus on remote management system, system management, network management, application management, etc.

F. Technical support activities: including TeamSun co ltd. StarOffice deployment assessment, Wisdom co. ltd SunRay StarSuite technical support, Singapore MAS (Matsushita Aviation) Inc Air flight seat-box Virtual Office integration project.
