Grueling, but ahhh so worth it

Friday Dec 15, 2006

A few weeks back i was offered a job. A great job... and i turned it down. I have to face the fact, i have drunk the solaris 10 kool-aid and there is no turning back. In the past 2 weeks i have had to face a family loaded with strep throat, unexpected company, being snowed in in chicago, 4 6 year old birthday parties and vain attempts to keep up with xmas chaos. AHH... but i still love it. Every minute of every day is a new challenge.

Last friday was the absolute best. My twin 5 year old boys had a christmas program. Days before the program my son jacob begged and pleaded to get his first suit for this show. He actually said he would give up xmas presents to get this suit. So we got him(and his twin brother) a black suit, white shirt, red tie with black shoe and socks to match... When we got to the show i had no idea my boys would be singing a duet of god bless america to close out the show.. It was so far my very proudest moment. I never wanted to be one of those people who said "that's my boys".. but i had no choice not to when they were done. It was the most beautiful thing i have seen in my entire life!!

My 2yr old was in her first Christmas Program on Weds. She didn't sing and had her back to the camcorder the whole time, but we were so proud. I totally know what you mean.
