6th Today our little sparrow embarked on her middle school adventure. As expected, she was excited and nervous. She let me accompany her to the bus stop, but made me promise a dozen or so times to not follow the bus -- it took every ounce of self-control to abide by this agreement.

She also made me promise that I wouldn't pick her up from the bus stop this afternoon -- I do need to test the rack in pinion steering in the family truckster today, so it's not at all my fault if I happen to be completing this important task in the area of the bus stop at the time she is dropped off.
Comments:

My 11 year old has "orientation" this week for middle school. Lockers, schedules, etc, etc. Fun, fun, fun.

It really is true when folks say it seems like their kids were born yesterday and how they grow up so fast.

Thank you both for your comments! As parents, you no doubt understand the mixed emotions of watching your children grow up so quickly in today's world.

It's 2:59 MT...that means she's on the bus heading home right now! I told her to sit as far toward the front as possible because the bad kids sit in the back. I can't help but laugh at my paranoia! :-)
