Did you see who rang today's opening bell?
In celebration of Sun's 20th year on the NASDAQ, Scott rang the opening bell today. What a cool experience that must be. But, I do have a question about the opening bell...where is the damn thing? Seriously, I don't recall ever seeing it. The caption of this photo is "Pictured: Scott McNealy, Chairman and CEO of Sun Microsystems, Inc., rings the Opening Bell", but still...no bell. Does his signing on that glass thing initiate the bell which could be symbolized by that yellow lit-up box thing?
I only "know" two people who have the "Ring NASDAQ's opening bell" task checked off their life's to do list. Perhaps, they'll educate me and whoever else missed the "Opening Bell Ceremony" lesson...I don't want to look like a complete idiot when it's my turn.
