I'll admit that gaming is not one of my strong points -- not even close. But, I am trying to embrace this whole Second Life thing because I'm a big fan of the community space. I actually found the Sun Pavilion in Second Life today thanks to Kathy's blog entry, but missed the Java event.

The goodness that came out of today's visit to SL is I realized my avatar has at least a couple issues:

1. It has ugly-ass hair. There's no need to be diplomatic on this one -- it's a monster of my creation. Only at the time of creation, I seriously thought it looked pretty good.

2. It has the mother of all wedgies.

Both of the above are adjustable, but to be honest, I don't have the time or skill to make my avatar look good. A business partner of mine was telling me about a women he knows who makes a living (in this life on earth) selling avatar apparel. I'd love to find a SL shop that can make my avatar look cool, but not wacky or sleazy. Any ideas? If so, please provide a tiny url -- otherwise I may spend hours walking about the ocean floor fearing that every other avatar is a molester. ;-)
Comments:

your avatar would have been hot in the 80s! re: apparel, I saw an interview with the person you're looking for on 60 minutes (or some lesser news show). It sounded like she was doing quite well for herself.
