Back in the 80's when I worked at K-Mart to pay for my high school eye shadow needs, I would have thought a person would be crazy if they told me one day I'd be blogging about a woot-off. And now, thanks to Rama explaining to me what a "woot-off" is, here I am -- blogging about a woot-off.

For those not in the know, it's like a K-Mart blue light special -- only it's on the web.

Hurry! Supplies are limited...

Skrocki your blog is a must-read for anyone who wants to be culturally literate nowadays - thank you for the link to woot.com. It's a blast! And I'm so glad that I know the term 'woot off' now so I can use it and appear to be incredibly hip. :) Btw I too hate quite an eye-shadow habit in the '80s. Seventeen magazine ran a full-page spread about how blue eye shadow complements brown eyes so of course I followed their advice. What was I thinking?!

I remember that advice (I too have brown eyes), so I took it to the max and "complimented" the blue eye shadow with blue eye liner and blue mascara. That, coupled with my spiral perm -- what a sight! My K-Mart paycheck barely covered the expenses of it all.
