This is crazy. Ze Frank, yeah that Ze Frank, created yet an other work of pure genius -- a tool that enables you to draw with your voice. Seriously. Check it out. To the right is a drawing my little niece and I just made. Granted, it's a bit more...uh...abstract than the museum quality pieces that Ze created, but that's to be expected considering the man exudes awesomeness with everything he attempts. I still can't stop watching his bagged sloth video:

Or, listening to his social network love song.

Sigh...[queue googly eyes]...

Ze wrote a cute social network tune.

Dammit! I miss the full-strength Ze. Please come back Ze. I'll buy a duck this time -- I swear I will!

feedreader ...whenever I open my feed reader, I can't stop myself from immediately looking at his dimly lit feed to see if there is a new post. I also can't get myself to remove it from my reader in hopes that he'll be back. What I need is an SMP (Social Media Psychologist). I've tried replacing Ze, but immediately decide I don't like the new candidate because he/she isn't him, basically -- they don't provide the perfect balance of being a comic genius who makes me laugh one minute then intelligently discusses current events including his own original thoughts the next. Plus, they all blink at least occasionally -- this, I can tolerate tho', I guess.

You know what else this world needs? A match.com-like site that helps connect media snackers with media producers. The generic information architecture on videocast sites is too general & searching via a small set of keywords/tags is too limiting. Anyone know of such a site?

So, my quest for a Ze Frank replacement continues. I'll be perusing the recommended links in the right nav of Look Shiny as time allows. In the meantime, let me know if you find a Ze replacement.

Feed readers are standing by...

One of the world's favorite social media celebs, Ze Frank, initiated a community project to create remixes of Pastor Ray's impromptu song "I'm about whip sombody's @$$". The song was inspired by a conversation between Pastor Ray and his daughter that occurred when she was having a bad day.

In addition to the song being used as a tool to trigger ownership and perhaps a bit of levity for people having a bad day, the project demonstrates the cool dynamics that occur everyday in decentralized communities like the blogosphere -- nearly a hundred remixes were contributed to Ze's project.

I love Pastor Ray's general message to know and be yourself -- great advice in general as well as for those struggling to find their 'authentic voice' in the social media space.

...including some rare footage of the Street Chicken. I am so tempted to purchase a duck shirt -- it'll blend in nicely with my Open Work wardrobe.
