Tuesday July 17, 2007 Sun ODF Plugin Installation Issue + Work Around We got the feedback that on some systems the converter doesn't start, and you get the following error message: "Word cannot open the converter textconverter". If you experience this problem, please copy the file "msvcr71.dll" from the Plugin directory into your windows system directory. In a standard installation of the Plugin, you can find the dll in "C:\Program Files\Sun\Sun ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office 1.0\program". Your system directory is typically c:\windows\system32. Alternatively you can enhance your PATH environment variable to include the Plugin program directory.
