Strawberry picking

Did you know that strawberries grow in small bunches like this?

It's the start of the strawberry picking season. It's always fun to pick fresh organic strawberries yourself. The taste of fresh strawberry right from the plant into your mouth is well ... unforgettable.

Why pick strawberries yourself?

It you've never done it before, it could be an experience of a lifetime!

  • The quality is much better than any store or farm stand, when you choose the fruit and get it right from the plant. It looks and tastes better.
  • Many farms have organic produce.
  • The costs are usually substantially less; the farmer doesn't need to pay labor to pick, and he has no packaging or shipping costs.
  • And... best of all... it's fun.

Comments:

And for every two in the basket, you can stuff 1 in your mouth. yum.

The fresh strawberries taste so much better than what you get at stores. Moreover, it is a great learning for everyone, including kids.

i grew up picking strawberries at my grandmothers garden. I wish I still had the option to stop by and pick to my hearts content.
