While I was tending other fires, Jerome Cambon wrote up a visual howto for getting started with OpenDS code in Netbeans 6.
My, my, there sure are a lot of .jars, class folders, and source folders to add to the project configuration. A shame NetBeans does not find all that without asking me. I missed a few the first time.
Everything now seems to be building with the build target all. I tried run-server. At home there are plenty of interruptions, however, so I did not get far enough to learn why something was breaking in ReturnCode.
PS: Ludo tells me it was not enough to update my About page. So in the interest of full disclosure, I have moved over from the doc side of the Directory team to the engineering side. Speaking of sides, I am still on the dark side of the force as they say, working on growing more pointy hair.
