	Defcon impressions

First impressions of Defcon: cool and lots of great people

I took a bunch of pictures of Defcon and Las Vegas which I'll put on Flickr once I get back to Rio.

Now it is time to catch some sleep so we can get up at 0500 in the morning to head out to our Area 51 hike tomorrow. Hopefully I won't be sore tomorrow, as I went running with two of my colleagues yesterday, and they both run marathons so I had a hard time to keep up with them.

	Defcon here I come

Defcon 13

In just a few hours I'll take the bus to the Rio de Janeiro international airport to go to Las Vegas for the 13th Defcon conference. This is my first black hat conference, so it'll be interesting to meet "the other side".

Unfortunately I forgot to get a coffee mug from my brother, who is a cop in Sweden, so I can't get a "I am the FED" T-shirt.

I'll also hike up to Tikaboo Peak to peer into Area 51, along with some of my colleagues, so if you don't hear back from me I've probably been detained for questioning. Another more unlikely reson for my absence is winning a fortune in a casino.

	Stunning view of Rio

This weekend I got to go to the town Niterói, which is across the bay from Rio. We visited the museum of contemporary art, which is a very strange building. After the trip to the museum, we went up on a hilltop to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
