After almost a week as proud espresso maker owner, I have now consumed more cups of delicious espresso than I had before my 35th birthday. I'll have to cut down my consumption to 5 cups a day soon, I feel like a hummingbird...

Alec sent me the ultimate link for an espresso newbie: The Home Espresso FAQ. He also gave me some good advice on grinders. So far I've been buying freshly ground coffee, but I understand that to get the best result I need to buy my own grinder.

Because obviously the people at the coffee shop who grind coffee every day for all their customers just don't get it right? ;-) I'm fortunate enough to have a coffee store just down the street and a magnifisent percolator, that makes 3 cups at a time. I'm either drinking 6 og 9 cups a day, take it or leave it (what? Cook only once? What about the rest of the day? ;) (can't leave out the morning coffee, now, can I? ;-) ))

Well, maybe because ground coffee looses its aroma faster -- even if it's done by people that know what they're doing...

Wonderful looking machine. I hope that the espresso is going well... just make sure you don't drink to much and start seeing shapes...
