Well... what do you think???

The new look.

You loving it as much as I am??

GREAT BIG BRAVO to the teams of Rhodes Klement, Will Snow, Martin Hardee, Jeff Solof, and bunches and bunches of others who just gave Sun.com a fresh new look.

:-)

p.s. Josef helped me with mine. I'm so thrilled with it. I told him next time I see him he's going to get a great big fat kiss that he's going to want to wipe off with the back of his hand. I think he's in hiding now. ;-)

Hey Mary, It's Jamie Foley (from jamiefoley's sunblog). The site looks awesome!!! Also...Does it get any better than having Bono on the frontpage :)

I have to say sad words. But it is the worst skin for java.sun.com for the whole history of that site. Also, the screen estate on dev forums used the most inefficient way.

*Wooooooow*.. I just LOVE :) the very COOL interface and look and feel. I am feeling the ocean look and feel of java 1.5 Tiger. Keep it up guys. It really Rocks with clean, simple, faster interface :). But one note, I think the header image "MaryMaryQuiteContrary" has to be given link to the home page by default.

Hi mary, The Blog is Nice. But think some small changes necessary you can add a 3d title bar

Love it mary! Looks clean and easy to read. i guess, no more misalignment because of big images. Neat!

They didn't change the favicon.ico file. The shortcut icon still shows up with the old colors. I wonder what Jakob Nielsen would say about the site these days. It has changed an awful lot from the days he worked on it. It looks awesome, but it is a little confusing. The use of transparency in the transition of the images is dodgy at best. And there are three separate menu bars, each with different sets of links and no obvious reason why a link goes on one rather than the other. But all told, I like the execution. The new branding will take a little getting used to, but it looks nice enough.

I think I forgot to enter the math challenge earlier... The new look is nice, although it means having to find all of my favourite links again. I can live with that. I would, however, much rather see the functionality improve. Blog-specific, I want to be able to go backward in the roller to see the previous day's entries (like when Canada has a holiday, and the US doesn't). That sort of thing. You can redress it five million times, but if it is still the same site, it's the same site. It took forever to get an advanced search function for sun.com, for example.
