we've got a lot of breaking news to talk about... here's where we're going to start...
On June 17 I told you and i quote:
the conference organizers have invited four Bay area emerging artists to create their own expressions of the Java vision and they'll be doing this ON THE PAVILION FLOOR!!
So we'll be able to watch the "spectacle of the creative process" to quote one source who has no idea that i got my hands on the email he wrote about this. (Do you think they'll have nude models?)
The pieces will be made available for purchase by event attendees through a silent live auction and the proceeds will benefit local causes to support art and technology in Bay area schools.
Not only that, i named names... i told you who the artists were and i had their bios for you...
Guess what just moved on the external website... you know it... confirmation of the story...
Yesterday I told you you could go to 5th and Howard at night during JavaOne and look up to be suprised and delighted... i couldn't tell you what it was exactly because it was a big secret.... only because it's the largest living outdoor demo in like forever. Huge project Looking Glass demo... on billboards... 5th and Howard and 4th and Howard... it's unbelievable... check out the story that just moved on the external sites...
there's a whole press release on this stuff, people. and you got it here first!
(go mary, go mary, go mary!)
the point is that it pays to be a MaryMaryQuiteContary reader. scoop. i deliver...
