OK, people. I know you just love my formulas. Here's one for you:

Desktop=Hot

You know I've got my ear to the ground for your, right.

Well, I can hear a stampede.

Don't say I didn't tell you.

Along these lines...

Let's say you work for a company that wouldn't fork up the bucks for you to go to JavaOne.

Career advice: Get a job at Sun.

But meanwhile, you can get a little piece of the Java action to keep you warm and cozy -- download a Java screensaver.

  •  Welcome to the SaverBeans Screensaver Pack (Early Access)!

    This is a collection of open-source screensavers submitted by members of the Java community. The screensavers were developed using the SaverBeans SDK, part of the JDIC project. This SDK allows for the development of cross-platform screensavers, accompanied by a native bridge that makes them behave just like the native screensavers in your operating system.

    The SDK is an early access product. We need your help to test it and make it better! Code contributions are most welcome!

    Ideas for screensavers and feature enhancements can be discussed in the screensavers forum.

And if you are going to JavaOne, check out session 1370.

Desktop=Hot

Comments:

If desktop is so hot why are there no posted jobs with "JFC" in the posting? "Swing" returns only one job: a swing shift warehouse job in oregon. "JSP" nets you 7 jobs, actually dealing with java. I may not be the most knowledgable software person but I don't think JSP is considered a destop technology.
