you guys,

here's my new favorite site: javagaming.org.

sorry to jump around on you here, but you need some context...

so we're on the big family vacation, right. and i'm talking to my nephew Alexis, who's 20 years old and a university computer science student. i'm going on and on about java.

and we start talking about gaming.

and i tell him about java 3d and the demo melissinos did at javaone... (scott keynote; can't remember whether it's part 1, 2 or 3; you're on your own there)

so he's big into gaming too... from the user's perspective...

his dream job: develop games in java.

totally doable. you could probably get rich doing that too. awesome ambition. i am all over that... gonna try to help him any way i can...

told him i'd pull some strings and next time he was in town i'd figure out a way to introduce him to melissinos (who hopefully he won't still be avoiding me by then) and they could chat about stuff... java... gaming...

so what got me thinking about Alexis? is i'm sitting here looking at pics from the big family vacation (i know, i know... i've got like six things that are urgent and important to do and shouldn't be wasting time looking at pictures... or blogging, actually..)

back to pictures... so there's alexis .. he's such a good kid.... i only pray i do so well raising my kids as Maro did raising hers... we digress...)

picture of alexis... it gets me thinking...

javagaming.org.

i should point Alexis to javagaming.org.

haven't been there in a while.

i go; check it out...

and just like that. it's my new favorite site.

and look at that -- featured blogger -- Jeff Kesselman. now i've got a new favorite blogger too. (sorry Jonathan. it was fun while it lasted.)

my man Kesselman... he needs to crank it up on frequency of post... i'll get on him about that. one thing i'm really good at is nagging.

how do you think Jonathan got so good about posting frequently?

;-)

Yeah. Mary has a fresh uncut writing style that a lot of us like to read. Keep up the good work girl. I think it would be good for her to get some of those shock beans and work up some ideas.. maybe Eve can get some for her. dl
