Explicitly and without apology a marketing vehicle MaryMaryQuiteContrary

The big summer movie season is getting under way here in the US.

Let me be the first to give two thumbs up to Get Smart.

Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell in Get Smart movie posing in front of a Sun LS8500

Get Smart, the much anticipated sure-to-be-blockbuster, is already my favorite and I haven't even seen it yet.

(Making me as qualified a critic as all those other Hollywood types :-)

Why do I love it so?!

Here's a hint.

Get Smart, featuring Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell, is also starring the Sun Storage Tek SL8500 Modular Library System.

Let's see that again:

:-)

Wanna know my favorite part of all this? The part that makes marketing girl inside me want to do a bust-a-move-happy dance?

The ROI on this product placement is supremely high. The "I" in that little equation -- that is the holy grail of marketing -- equals zero.

That's right dear reader, no shareholder dollars were spent securing this placement.

swivel, swivel, double-snap.

All this on top of the news this week of the Sun technology partnerhsip for India's first major sci-fi movie Love Story 2050.

Which was so beautifully chrnoicled by Mani Chandrasekaran, a hot shot techno celeb who's my new favorite blogger.

It all just makes you want to escape the hot summer weather and slide into a cool, dark theater and get lost in the silver screen, doesn't it?

:-)

Have you considered running the whole planet? I think you'd be a good candidate. Think United Nations of Earth, or UNE, for short, French feminine for ONE. :)
