It was hosted by the one and only Wendy Koh -- the Britney Spears of the Singapore. Can you believe this people, a bona fied celebrity of the non-technical variety at the SunNetwork Conference and I've got a front-row seat!
This show rocked the house! Contestants came up from the audience and belted out the tunes for the shot at getting crowned
Shanghai Superstar!
People were literally on the edge of their seats...
...and they were clearly ....
...having a good time

The show was packed with energy and excitement, anticipation and drama.
It culminated with the crowning of the Shanghai Superstar!
It was awesome.
Now, I really worked hard to try to get an interview with the fellow who won. But as soon as he came offstage he was surrounded by his "posse" and they whisked him off. I literally chased him down the stairs trying to get his name and a picture with him.
He was gone, lost to the Shanghai summer night -- taking his place in the constellation of SuperStardom and no longer in the orbit of mere mortals like me.
