first off, we've got a winner on Friday Free Stuff. but i'm not naming names yet. you just need to stay tuned if you're following that nail-biter.
second, i've got more JavaOne Scoop for you. dee-ligthful.
third, i'm just beside myself that you guys read (and for the most part like) my blog! putter-putter-my-heart-goes-a-flutter! Tim Bray let me know i need to cut the word count. verbose -- not good. i'm on it.
(i would make an excellent columnist, people... a working mother's answer to Dave Barry... so all you guys with the connections in the publishing world... you just talk me up, OK. and in exchange i'll rig Friday Free Stuff so that you win every week. not that it's a contest or anything.)
let's start with... JavaOne Scoop

NetBeans Day at JavaOne: You asked for it and here it is! It's the first NetBeans Mega Event. On Tuesday, June 29, 2004, the NetBeans team is hosting a free companion event to JavaOne in San Francisco, California that will feature the NetBeans Project including a preview of the latest release, a look inside NetBeans Technology and will also feature key NetBeans Partners.

The keynote will feature James Gosling talking about Tools and the future. And if you've heard James speak, you know there'll be some great surprises. This is not to be missed!
Whether or not you're planning to sign up for a full JavaOne pass, registration for NetBeans Software Day is free. And, as a special bonus if you're thinking about signing up for a full JavaOne pass then you can receive a special $300 discount as a member of the NetBeans community.

We'll have more JavaOne Scoop for you here tomorrow, so just stay tuned.
... and that's it for today, folks.
tune in tomorrow for more JavaOne Scoop and to find out who won Friday Free Stuff.
