i know what it feels like to be on top of the world.
i know this because my kid (number 1) is on top of the world today...
- it's the last day of school in her kindergaten year
- no school means no bedtime
- it's the first day of summer, the longest day of the year
- this means she'll be in the backyard until way after dark catching fire flies and putting them in a pickle jar with holes poked into the cap.
- and to top off her absolutely perfect day, she's going to go to sleep tonight just a little different than she was when she went to sleep last night -- tonight, she's 6 years old.
she's on top of the world. and so am i.
