Well everyone, it's a done deal! OpenSolaris Blogger Extraordinaire Eric Schrock has acknowledged receipt of the most valueable FFS prize in MMQC history.
(The use of these acronyms is actually a violation of the MaryMaryQuiteContrary trademark policy. And as I've attended Trademark Legal Training, I am an expert in these types of things. I just like to live dangerously.)
Here's a transcript of the private email conversation that closes the deal. It's delivered to you directly from my very own personal inbox using my most favorite of marketing techniques (which has taken years to hone), copy; paste:

I'm... flattered. I'm unsure whether I should be excited or scared that
there are that many geeks out there who enjoy reading about Solaris as
much as I like working on it. But seriously, I'll do my best to keep
the entries coming. Be sure to check out all the other great
OpenSolaris blogs as well.

Most Honerable (and Favorite) One:
MaryMaryQuiteContary <http://blogs.sun.com/mary> readers (/the/ most
discriminating blog readers out there on the unwashed Internet) have
voted you their favorite blogger and as a result you get to have a Sony
MP3 player (valued at ~$350) shipped directly to you free of charge.
How exciting is that?
In order to close this deal you have to hit the respond button and
acknowledge this honor. Feel free to address your fans in your response
as we'll be publishing it on my blog. (but don't go on and on because
then I'll ring the little bell and I'll have to cut you off.)
I mean that in the nicest possible way.
