The first two Guinness GAA All-Ireland
Hurling Quarterfinals were held at the weekend in Croke
Park.
Clare battled against a somewhat lack lustre Wexford side in the first match which was a somewhat quiet match. Wexford really did make Clare look like a decent team.
In the second game Cork overcame Waterford, this a much better game was closely fought right to the end until Cork full forward Brian Corcoran netted to end it as a contest. Waterford lead the game from the start and it was late into the second half before Cork managed to catch up and take the lead.
Cork will now meet Clare in the Semi-Final.
In the other Quarter Finals to be held next weekend, Kilkenny are expected to overcome Limerick, but the Tipperary vs Galway clash is really anyones call....
