Getting Close to our Public Beta

I've been managing the development of a SaaS (software tools as a service ... StaaS? TaaS?) application at work for developer collaboration (hint: see previous blog) for some time now. As we're getting closer to getting out the public beta, I'm starting to wish I had kept an internal journal/blog, that could be published once we release it. Thinking about putting some of the details in one or more blogs over the next few weeks, speaking about the lessons learned.

It's certainly been a wild ride with at least a couple direction changes, personality clashes and changes in development ideologies, product architectures, AND dodging torpedoes.. you know, standard stuff when trying to get to 1.0. :) And still moving things at an insane speed. Some of the most fun I've had in my career developing software or managing teams of great software developers.

bug trakcing and source code management

We're interested in getting some answers about developer's choice for bug tracking and source code management software. If you want to give us your feedback, spend 10 seconds on this short survey.

Update on July 10th: Thanks to Tim Bray and Nick Sieger for spreading the word and getting a substantial number of responses. Here are the current survey results.
