Caffeine-Free Me

I've been on this new diet for about a week now and promised many people that I would "report out" on my blog about how I was feeling. For those who haven't read about my nutritional experiment, I've cut all of the following out of my diet:
- Coffee, even decaf.
- Sodas.
- Aspertame, Equal, Splenda.
- Meat, fish and chicken.
- Refined flour.

And all I eat for breakfast every day is fruit. Fruit and only fruit.

So how do I feel? The Skinny Bitches, the authors of this diet, basically promised me that I would have more energy, lose weight and look fabulous.

I don't have more energy. At best I would say my energy level is the same as before. But I just got back from the U.S. five days ago so maybe jet lag is making me more tired than usual, and the new diet is picking me back up to my normal energy level.

I have lost a couple of pounds.

And not one single person has told me I look fabulous! That could be because I don't or because I've looked fabulous all along so why would anyone comment about it now? It's hard to say. ;)

Check out this site that attribute most migraine headaches to caffeine withdrawal. I quit caffeine and all my migraine headaches stopped.

You look fine. Want more energy? Write a book about self improvement and the millions pouring in from all the suckers who bought it will give you lots of energy...

That's possibly one of the worst diets I've ever heard of. At least the no-meat thing and especially if you are training. Google BFFM and Tom Venuto.

Amiram, *fabulous* is the word we're looking for here. And I know you can't say it to me because it'd get you in all kinds of HR trouble. ;)

ThinGuy, thanks for the info about BFFM! When I'm done being a Skinny Bitch I'll order Tom's book and see what I think.

Webomatic, I know what you mean. I'm on day 8 of this program and am wondering if a life without caffeine is worth living at all... ;)

Jim, that's interesting research about the relationship between caffeine and headaches. One more reason to try to live without coffee.
