Thank God for Mississippi

I was working from my hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama last week when an important report was released:
the 10 fattest and 10 fittest states in America. My family and I read the list of the Fattest States together, holding our breath and hoping against hope that our Great State wasn't on it again this year. But there it was, #2 on the list. The second fattest state in the nation. We reverted to the mantra we've come to use whenever these lists come out that rank all the states in the nation - Thank God for Mississippi. Yes, Alabama might be the Second Fattest State in the Nation but Mississippi saved us from being #1.

I would have commented sooner on how Colorado was, not surprisingly, labeled the fittest state in the nation, but between indoor soccer games and pre-ski season training runs there's so little time left to write. ;)

After spending so much time in PR I forgot how skinny CO actually is, until I was out running yesterday and came close to getting run over by super lean almost anorexic retirees who were out for their morning run! Fit people are everywhere here..! I was super skinny in PR, and here, average, depending on the crowd! So odd....

Time to ditch your "skinny bitch" diet and do your bit for your state :)
