Washing your keyboard in the dishwasher

Lately I've been downloading a couple of fascinating NPR podcasts - Technology News and Pop Culture.

In the Technology podcast this week they talked about a recent phenomenon - people are apparently washing their computer keyboards in the dishwasher. And apparently they survive. The keyboards, I mean. Of course the people are fine. Anyway here's a website where lots of people say they've washed theirs and it still worked afterwards, but I need to hear a few testimonials from you guys before trying it myself.

BTW if you're a multi-tasker, you can apparently also cook an awesome salmon fillet in the dishwasher while you're cleaning the keyboard.

This comment from the post sounds reasonable:

I’ve been doing it for years, only not in the dish washer.. just unscrew the screws at the bottom, take out the electronics and scrub away! reassemblz is as simple as it gets."

Wow, that sounds like way too much work to me Skrocki (and way too little thrill). :)
