After installing our new QNAP TS-109 NAS server, one of our next steps was to ensure that my wife's Mac G4 PowerBook would automatically mount the shares of interest whenever she logs into the laptop. My personal blog article "Mac OS Client Access to NAS Server" explains what we did to get the most out of our new NAS server from one of our Mac clients.

Hi Chris
I saw your blog here http://blogs.kampmeier.com/
I got a question for you
If you copy all your picture and music into the NAS, have you find a way for having a copy in your MAC laptop?
Othewise if you go outside your house you don't have your stuff

No, we don't sync our content with our laptops. To gain access to our photos outside of our home we do two things:
1) For photos that we'd like to share with family and friends, we publish the photos to Smug Mug.
2) For personal access to our data on the NAS, we can access the NAS from the Internet. However, I don't normally enable that access.
